Product Overview

It's great for teas, incense, cooking, and keeping (some) of those Texas pests away. It's lemongrass, also known as Cymbopogon citratus.

Split the clumps of grass once they're well-established and you'll always have lemongrass on hand for whatever you need. Can be pruned to 6-12 inches in height and brough inside to overwinter when temperatures drop below 40F.

  • Plant: March through August in Zone 8b. Partial shade to full sun preferred.
  • Harvest: June through November in Zone 8b.
  • Interest: Long, flowy, bushy clumps of green that produce a nice herbal scent.
