Product Overview
Prairie Sun Rudbeckia (Rudbeckia hirta) is a resilient flowering perennial native to Eastern and Central North America, now also naturalized in the West. This robust plant features large, bright flowers that bloom from mid-summer through fall, attracting butterflies and soldier beetles. Reaching about 3 feet in height, Prairie Sun Rudbeckia adds vibrant color to gardens for many weeks. The flowers are borne on long, sturdy branching stems, making them excellent for use as long-lasting cut flowers.
This sun-loving plant thrives in full sunlight and can flourish in almost any type of soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant, making it a low-maintenance choice for gardeners. To promote continuous blooming, deadhead the spent flowers, but leave the flowerheads at the end of the season to allow for natural reseeding.
